Heathcliff and Marmaduke Model Cels Group of 4 (Ruby - Spears, 1981). This is a fantastic assortment of four model cel/sheets from the Heathcliff and Marmaduke animated series produced by Ruby-Spears. Each episode consisted of a six-minute Heathcliff cartoon sandwiched between two six-minute Marmaduke cartoons. In visual arts, a color model is a studio document used to help standardize the appearance of a character with respect to color of the character, props or environment. The document is used by other artists as well as ink and paint as a reference tool to help maintain continuity. These four rare model cels feature "Marmaduke and Cat" from the episode "Tricky Treat", "Black Cat" from the episode "Ghostly Goofup", "Vampire" from "Marmaduke's Riddles" and "O'Casey the Leprechaun" from the episode "Leapin Leprechaun". The model cels are all hand-painted on 12 field acetate and matted to 18" x 14" with matboard windows or 11" x 7.5". Model sheets are a must-have for any complete collection of production art.
