Description

John Romita Sr. - Female Character Illustration Original Art Group of 2 (c. 1970s). Comics master John Romita offers up a stylish illustration of a fashionable young woman in this two-piece set, which includes both a pencil preliminary on tracing paper and a fully finished, hand-colored version. While it's possible this was a character design for Spidey Super Stories, as the fashion and styling align with the era and aesthetic of that title, we were unable to definitively identify the character. The preliminary is rendered in pencil on 4.75" x 10.5" vellum, while the finished piece is executed in ink and marker on 7.5" x 11" paper. Both pieces show creasing, smudging, and light handling wear. Each is signed and in Very Good condition.
