Description
Garfield Goes Hollywood Garfield Production Cel Progression of 3 with Animation Drawing Group of 3 (Film Roman, 1987). "Ladies and gentlemen, Johnny Bop and the Two-Steps!" In this Emmy-nominated Garfield special, Jon Arbuckle ropes his two pets into being his backup dancers for an Elvis-inspired musical number. The trio is competing in a pet talent show, and they go on to win first place! This cel progression features an unenthused Garfield in his 50s getup, a moment that can be found at about the 6:17 mark of the special. This setup is composed of three original, hand-painted 12 field cels which have been placed atop a color print background for presentation. The images of Garfield measure about 4" tall. The cels are marked in their lower right corners with 3, 6, and 11. Also included with this group are three original animation drawings that were used to create these cels. The drawings are created with graphite and blue pencil on 12 field animation paper, and they are also marked with 3, 6, and 11. The condition of this fantastic group is Very Good, with just minor handling and edge wear. One of the drawings has a small tear on its lower right corner, far away from the image.From the Jim Davis Collection.
