Description
Alex Raymond Rip Kirby Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 12-13-50 (King Features Syndicate, 1950). Intrigue fills these three panels as Rip Kirby spies on the scheming Miss Deborah, who slips into Mr. Van Dorpe's residence in search of answers about his will. The graceful Melody Lane appears on Dorpe's arm in the final panel of this daily titled "The Golden Goose About to Be Cooked" (noted on the back), showcasing Alex Raymond's impeccable storytelling and refined draftsmanship in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 18.5" x 5.5". Light toning, glue residue staining, missing stripped-in text correction paste-up, remnants of copyright paste-up visible in Panel 1, smudging/soiling, minor staining, and minor handling wear.
