Description
The Jetsons - Vacation in Space Coloring Book Advertising Illustration Original Art with Photostat and Flyer Group of 4 (Hanna-Barbera/Parkes Run, 1976). That high-flying Space Age family is at it again, in this pair of original illustrations. The art is based on the cover of a "Giant Color-and-Learn Book" published by Parkes Run, and licensed by Hanna-Barbera; it's part of a large series that included Marvel and DC heroes as well as Hanna-Barbera characters that were sold in toy stores and from street vendors in New York. The art was professionally traced from a painted image, converted to line art for use in ads and flyers (a 2-sided flyer proof with this image and a 3.5" x 4.5" ad slick photostat are also included in this lot). There are two versions of the cover art; one version is slightly more detailed than the other. Art is in ink/black marker with whiteout on onionskin paper measuring approximately 19" x 24". Image sizes are both 17.25" x 22.25". Art condition is Good to Very Good with handling/edge wear and age-related paper toning.Auction Info
