Description
Aladdin Sultan Animation Rough Drawings Group of 24 (Walt Disney, 1992). "Awk. The problem with your daughter." Iago says to the Sultan. Here's a great sequence of 24 roughs featuring the Sultan from Disney's wildly popular animated feature, Aladdin. We see this scene play out near the 47:23-time mark. The Sultan was voiced by Douglas Searle (Cheers, The Golden Girls, Family Ties) and animated by David Pruiksma (The Lion King, The Little Mermaid). In traditional animation, the first drawings are called "roughs" or "rough animation" because they are often done in a loose style. If the animation is successfully pencil tested and approved by the director, clean versions of the drawings have to be done. Timing sheet notations are written on the right side of most pieces. The work was created using a blue pencil with touches of red on 16 field animation paper. The artwork exhibits some handling and edge wear from normal production use, curling on the corners and a tiny bit of water staining in the corners. Overall Very Good condition.Auction Info
