Jorge Longarón Friday Foster Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-24-72 (Chicago Tribune, 1972). Shawn warns Friday that the police are looking for Lincoln in this groundbreaking daily strip, which ran for four years and marked one of the first times an African American woman led a mainstream syndicated newspaper strip. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 16.5" x 5". Light toning, blue graphite editorial notes, and light handling wear. Bottom margin on right side warped and stained, extending into the panel. In Very Good condition.
