Description

Carmine Infantino and Alan Kupperberg Star Wars #53 Story Page 17 Original Art (Marvel, 1977). Marvel transformed shelved John Carter art by Carmine Infantino into a Star Wars tale, with Chris Claremont and Walt Simonson reshaping it into the saga of Aron Peacebringer, a spacefaring echo of Burroughs cloaked in fresh mythology. At a regal gala, Aron Peacebringer presents Leia to his inner circle as desire simmers, doubt lingers, and duty clouds every careful smile and glance. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Light toning with irregularly trimmed top edge and corners, stat text paste-up in the last panel, and light handling wear. In Very Good condition.
From The Tom Palmer Collection.
