John Buscema and Rudy Nebres The Savage Sword of Conan #96 Story Page 28 Original Art (Marvel, 1984). Wrarrl the Devourer of Souls unleashes his minions to gorge on the patrons of a tavern he has cursed into crawling worms. Elsewhere in Marmet Tarn, the monstrous Ape-Bat Zvevo lets out a thunderous roar behind Lia, sister-in-law to Conan's companion for the evening, on this dramatic page from "The Ape-Bat of Marmet Tarn". On the reverse are a couple of sketches rendered in blue pencil. Ink and wash over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15". An acetate overlay with whiteout and discolored production tape is taped to the top edge. The page exhibits toning, marginal pinholes, discolored text and sound effect paste-ups, whiteout corrections, smudging, adhesive residue staining, discolored tape, marginal story and production notes, production oil staining, minor corner/edge creasing, and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
