Woodland Café Silly Symphony Grasshopper Musician Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). A grasshopper bassist finds his instrument has been chewed by termites in this marvelous original animation drawing from the theatrical short Woodland Café. Directed by the great Wilfred Jackson and released on 3/13/1937, Woodland Café sees a variety of bugs cutting a rug at tiny woodland nightclub. Created for the moment seen at the 1:42 mark of the film, this incredible image measures at large 5.5" x 7.5" on the 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. The drawing is rendered in graphite and color pencil, and the sheets is numbered 47 in the lower right corner.
