Woodland Café Silly Symphony Caterpillar Dancers Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). Presented is a delightful original animation drawing from the Wilfred Jackson-directed theatrical short Woodland Café. Released on 3/13/1937, this charming classic Silly Symphony tells the story of a lively nightclub operated and attended by a variety of bugs. Created for the moment seen at the 2:02 mark of the film, this drawing features the dancing caterpillar characters at 8" x 4.25" on the 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. The drawing is rendered in graphite and color pencil, and it is numbered 64 in the lower right corner. The paper shows minor handling nad edge wear with some toning and staining in the upper left corner.
