Description
Garfield and Friends "The Man Who Hated Cats" Garfield and Foo Foo Production Cel and Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Film Roman, 1994). "Wait! He looks just like the cat in the photo, only older!" In this episode of Garfield and Friends entitled "The Man Who Hated Cats," Garfield attempts to cure his new neighbor's hatred of cats by reuniting him with his long-lost childhood cat, Foo Foo. To do this, Garfield scours nearby alleyways in search of a cat who looks similar to Foo Foo, and he's in luck! He encounters an almost perfect lookalike for Foo Foo, or perhaps he even finds Foo Foo himself! In this moment from the episode, Garfield tries to convince the street cat to go live with his cat-hating neighbor through a musical number. This scene can be found at about the 19:08 mark of the episode. This great original production cel is hand-painted on a 12 field cel, and it has been placed in front of a color print background from the show for presentation. The cel is marked on its lower right corner with G8. The image of the two cats measures an impressive 9.75" x 6" inches! Also included with this lot is an original animation drawing of this frame, which is created with graphite and red and blue pencil on 12 field animation paper. This drawing is also marked with G8. This great setup is in Very Good condition, with minor handling and edge wear and some minor line fading. The drawing is in Good condition, with minor handling and edge wear, slight yellowing over Garfield's body, and an abrasion from paint adhesion.From the Jim Davis Collection.
