Description

The Brave Little Tailor Mickey Mouse and Gustav the Giant Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1938). This Mickey Mouse vehicle is considered one of his very best Golden Age shorts. Directed by Burt Gillett and Bill Roberts, the cartoon was first shown in theaters on 9/23/1938. Here are two original 12 field graphite and red pencil animation drawings from this fan favorite, including an image from the 2:21 mark, as Mickey tells the king "Yes your honor. And how!" when asked about killing "seven with one blow." Mickey's approximate image size is 2.5" x 4.25" on a drawing noted as 54 in the lower right, below an Art Props stamp. The second piece is of mighty Gustav the Giant, seen here after quenching his thirst by pulling a well out of the ground; look closely, and you'll spot Mickey hanging onto the well's rope-tied bucket! Image size is about 4.75" x 5", and the lower right corner sequence number is 30. It's in the film at the 6:16 mark. The drawings are in Very Good condition with minor handling and mild age-related paper toning.
