Garfield: His 9 Lives "Cave Cat" Cave Cat Garfield and Odie as Big Bob Production Cel Setup (Film Roman, 1988). A prehistoric version of Garfield meets the colossal creature known as "Big Bob" in this scene from the Emmy-nominated Garfield special Garfield: His 9 Lives. This special was based on a book written by Jim Davis which detailed some of Garfield's former lives. In this section, entitled "Cave Cat," the saber-toothed Cave Cat meets Odie's predecessor, a gigantic green creature who, though well-meaning, accidentally squashes Cave Cat with a tree. This fantastic image comes from about the 4:44 mark of the special, as Big Bob brings a tree to Cave Cat in hopes of playing fetch. This excellent setup is composed of two original, hand-painted production cels depicting Big Bob with his tree and Cave Cat. The cels have been placed in front of a color print of a background from this special for presentation. This charming setup is in Good to Very Good condition, with minor handling and edge wear and some minor cel rippling.From the Jim Davis Collection.
