Walt Kelly Pogo Daily Comic Strip Original Art Group of 2 (Hall Syndicate, 1958, 1967). However you want to analyze it, Pogo is undeniably the most self-reflective strip in the history of comics. Walt Kelly often engaged in social and political satire through the adventures of the strip's funny animals, touching on a whole range of subjects with tongue firmly in furry cheek. Dates are 3-15-58, and 7-14-67 Ink over blue pencil on Bristol board with image areas of 18.5" x 5 and 16" x 4.5". Mild edge toning, marginal pinholes, corner and edge wear.
