Description

Ralph Heimdahl and Al Stoffel Bugs Bunny Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 10-28-69 (Warner Bros./Seven Arts, Inc., 1969). Sylvester Q. Pussycat steals the show from top-billed Bugs Bunny (not to mention Petunia Pig) in this brisk study in pantomime. Dependably inventive gagwork from old-timers Heimdahl and Stoffel. Heimdahl had started drawing the Bugs Bunny strip in 1948 -- the same year that Warners' principal cat-character was christened as Sylvester. (He had been introduced as Thomas in a 1947 animated cartoon.) Ink and chemical shading on Duo-Tone board, measuring 20" x 6". Lightly toned and in Excellent condition.
From the Bobby G. Murphy Collection.
