Description

Eugene Hughes Prize Mystery #2 Complete 6-Page Story Original Art (Stanley Morse, 1955). A day in the desert turns more dangerous than normal in the story "In The Snake Pit!" The twice-up scale pages were created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12" x 18.25". The story was created pre-Code, but edited to be "Code friendly" before publication. As a result, there are many whiteout art changes. You can see much of the original art through the whiteout. There is an original art paste-up on Story Page 3 in Panel 4. There is another original art paste-up that is loose-but-included for Story Page 4 Panel 2. There is glue residue on the page where this art patch was previously attached. The pages are toned and in Very Good condition. Comes with a copy of the printed comic.
