Description

Jack Davis The Return of a MAD Look at Old Movies "The Inventing Fool" Story Page 4 Original Art (New American Library/Signet, 1970). Tom says he's leaving to "work on his invention," and his wife immediately invents a new living arrangement, complete with luggage service and a ROOM FOR RENT sign. Classic MAD-style mayhem on this page from "The Inventing Fool", where Davis parodies Thomas Edison as a stumblebum genius who keeps backing into brilliance while trying to do something else. Ink and wash over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 7" x 12.25". Light toning, with a hint of foxing, stat text paste-ups with some discoloration, glue residue staining, smudging, and light handling wear. In Very Good condition.
