Description

Dick Ayers and John Tartaglione Sgt. Fury #42 Story Page 7 Original Art (Marvel, 1967). Nick Fury's Howling Commandos rip into a Nazi contingent in this energetic page from two of Marvel's most dependable and substantial workhorse artists, Ayers and Tartaglione. A bold four-panel layout allows plenty of room for panoramic attack scenes (both horizontal and vertical) and a bracing aftermath close-up (a Nazi helmet with a prominent bullet-hole), with a suspenseful wind-up. Autographed by Ayers at lower margin. Twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board, with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". Light-to-moderate toning, with marginal notes and minor smudging/handling wear. In Very Good condition.
