Description

Two-Gun Mickey Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Peg-Leg Pete Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1934). Mickey, the best marksman in the wild west, saves cowgirl Minnie from Peg-Leg Pete in this fantastic Ben Sharpsteen-directed short. The 12 field 2-peghole animation drawing features the three main characters in brilliant detail. The drawing can be found towards the end of the short at about 9:10 as Mickey and Minnie ride off into the sunset, pulling Peg-Leg Pete, who is now trapped in a cactus with only his head visible, with them. Rendered in graphite with color pencil, this wonderful drawing captures the characters' happy ending and Pete's demise as they return the villain to jail. This large drawing is labeled 71 in the top right corner and measures about 8.75'' x 6.75'', the characters centered on the page. The drawing is in Good to Very Good condition with light age-related toning, minor edge and handling wear, a stray mark, and reinforced pegholes.
