Bernard Wiseman The New Yorker Single Panel Gag Cartoon Illustration Original Art (New Yorker, 1954). "A wave of horror sickened her as she saw the creature approach. Its hands were a grotesque cluster of five fingers; its head, if it could be called that, was small, with slits for eyes and a shapeless blob for a nose, and crowned with a rank, repulsive growth . . ." Bedtime stories for impressionable aliens. This cartoon dated 5-15-54 was created in ink and ink wash on textured art paper. Signed in the lower right of the 11.75" x 11.5" image area, part of a big board measuring 17" x 17". Toned, with handling wear, and staple holes in the corners. In Good condition.
