Description

Dave Sheridan Mother's Oats Comix #3 Partial Story Original Art Pages 1-2 in 1 Frame (Rip Off Press, 1976-77). Sheridan's signature character, Dealer McDope, is often associated with Gilbert Shelton's Fabulous Furry Freak Bros. series -- what with such crossovers being a recurring element in the communal and collaborative realm of Underground Comix. Here, the character takes a solo adventure entitled "Marihuana," a surrealistic survey of the properties of the substance. (The published story covered nine pages, featured in addition to a Sheridan-Shelton collaboration.) Ink over graphite on Bristol board with matching image areas of approximately 12" x 18". The composite framed presentation measures out at 33.5" x 25". Art per se is in Excellent condition. The frame shows scuffing and palpable loosening at the upper edge.

More Information: EDIT: To clarify the archaic spelling of marijuana (sic) in the formal title of this story...
