Description
Wayne Reid Psycho Killers Celebrity Stalkers Special #1 Partial Story Group of 7 (Comic Zone Productions, 1993). A documentary-styled, ultimately fanciful, biography of the would-be presidential assassin. The script follows the conventional track of childhood-college-Nazism-rampage, including Hinckley's peculiar bid to "dedicate" his 1981 attack on Ronald Reagan to the Hollywood actress Jodie Foster. A departure from reality is an imaginary award-acceptance speech in which Foster (no connections with Hinckley) "thanks" the delusional gunman. In point-of-fact, Foster wanted no such reminders and forbade media interviewers from mentioning that name in her presence. Partially inked over graphite on Bristol board, with some unlettered areas and one segment of blue-penciled lettering. Image area, 10" x 15".
