Al Capp Li'l Abner Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-12-41 (United Feature Syndicate, 1941). This cataclysmic car crash was caused by clever craftsmanship, not coincidence! This daily episode of Capp's satirical strip, titled "Gilding the Lily!!", is rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 22.25" x 5.5". Toned, with whiteout corrections, stat text corrections, tape on the reverse, staining, corner creasing, and edge wear. In Very Good condition.From the Denis Kitchen Collection.
