Description

Arthur Adams Gumby's Summer Fun Special #1 Story Page 13 Original Art (Comico, 1987). Gumby finds himself babysitting a robot kid just as aliens in a UFA saucer touch down, in this gloriously bizarre one-shot crafted by Art Adams with writer Bob Burden, creator of Flaming Carrot. The original '50s-'60s TV show was plenty whimsical, but Adams cranks the surreal into overdrive -- this Eisner Award-winning issue careens from robo-babies to werewolf babysitters, alien invaders, and space patrol bears, all with a strange joy that makes it unforgettable. Ink over blue pencil on Comico Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Red key lines, slight fading and ink bleed, whiteout touch-ups, and minor handling wear. In Excellent condition.
From the Mike Mignola Collection.
