Description
Mickey's Fire Brigade Mickey Mouse and Ladder Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1935). Mickey the firefighter loses the fight with his hose and his ladder in this classic Ben Sharpsteen-directed short, but he doesn't let that stop him from winning the war - he, Donald, and Goofy fight the blazing hotel fire until the bitter end! This dramatic pair of 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings are rendered in graphite and graphite with color pencil, capturing Mickey in his fire helmet as he lands stomach-first on the mechanical ladder lever and the ladder as it extends through a window of the hotel. These amazing drawings can be found at about 2:48 and 2:55 in the short and are noted as 36 and 57 in the lower right corner. Mickey's full figure measures approximately 3.5'' x 3.5'' while the centered ladder measures about 5.25'' x 5.75''. Good to Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear, light edge and handling wear, and small tears with extra pegholes on one page.Auction Info
