Description
Cattanooga Cats Motormouse and Autocat "Mini Messenger" Production Cel (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1969-71). "Drop me at the nearest pussycat rest stop, I want to check in for some repairs." Motormouse makes one last delivery in a rare amicable moment between himself and Autocat in this excellent original hand-painted production cel from the Cattanooga Cats' Motormouse and Autocat segment episode titled "Mini Messenger". With a Wacky Races meets Tom and Jerry feel, much of the segment's appeal lay in the bizarre cars and unusual character voices and dialect. From the last scene of the 5th episode, the pair can be spotted near the 6:24 mark of the segment when viewed online. They share a combined image size of approximately 3.75" x 3" including Motormouse's dragster, and trailed by a 5.25" plume of exhaust. The 12 field cels show minor handling and edge wear with some fading in the linework and light surface scuffing/debris. The condition overall is Very Good.Auction Info
