Chic Young Chic Young's Dagwood Comics #48 Cover Original Art (Dell, 1954). Here is a great image of Dagwood attempting to lift weights while the dog shows him up. If those barbells had been sandwiches, we are sure he would have had no trouble! The cover looks like it was intended for Issue #45, but ended up as the cover to Issue #48. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 7" x 10.5". Board is lightly toned. Masthead and trade dress missing, glue residue and light handling and edge wear.
