Description

John Romita Sr. - Peter Parker Family Portrait Illustration Original Art (undated). Peter Parker, presented as a toddler in an adorable Captain America sweater, is pictured with his parents, Richard and Mary, as well as his Uncle Ben and Aunt May, in this heart-wrenching family portrait from the artist who would be integral to defining Spider-Man's legacy. Seeing Peter so small and innocent, with his entire family unit intact, is bittersweet - especially given how much Romita's depiction of Peter's father, Richard, resembles Peter as an adult. Rendered in crayon and graphite over blue pencil on 8.5" x 11" paper. The paper presents with whiteout touch-ups, smudging, and light creasing. There is also a piece of tape on the right side covering a former inscription from Romita. Signed in the lower right and in Very Good condition.
