Dick Ayers and Bruce Patterson The Unexpected #216 Three Witches Story Page 3 Original Art (DC, 1981). The final page of the Three Witches backup story brings Billy Day face to face with justice. Police seize him at an airport as his disguise fails, while Mildred looks on. This climactic page from the backup tale "Tall, Dark, and Deadly" closes with fate firmly in control. Ink and white paint highlights over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Light toning, blue pencil editorial marks, and paste-up text correction in Panel 2.
