Description

Bob Eggleton - Planetary Alignment Illustration Original Art (undated). "...there is geometry in the humming of the strings, there is music in the spacing of the spheres." So said Pythagorus, the first to hear the Music of the Spheres, who quickly taught others to partake of the astral bounty. He knew the stars to be attached to crystal spheres revolving about the Earth. These heavenly spheres, eternally revolving, produce harmonious sounds only the truly inspired can hear. Bob Eggleton was one of the leading members of the SF "supra-realist" artists, forced to compete with the visions of the post-1970s SF-fantasy movies, and his visions rival the spectacle found in the best of those films. In Excellent condition, the image area of the painting measures 9" x 17". From the collection of Richard and Wendy Pini. Richard says: "Bob Eggleton is another fine astronomical artist I met during my years as president of ASFA; he was already well known for his stunning book cover paintings. His color sense is both so real yet so intense, it was impossible not to want to own a painting or two."
