Description
Dan Panosian Spider-Man in Arcade's Revenge, Return of the Sinister Six, Spider-Man 2 Original Video Game Ad Art SNES, NES, Game Boy (Acclaim, 1992). This remarkable lot features three original illustrations by Dan Panosian created for a magazine ad promoting a trio of titles: Spider-Man in Arcade's Revenge (Super NES), Return of the Sinister Six (NES), and Spider-Man 2 (Game Boy). The artwork is rendered on two pieces of Marvel Comics illustration board, each measuring 17" x 10.5." The first board showcases a striking illustration of Spider-Man, drawn in ink and blue pencil in the style of Todd McFarlane. The reverse side contains a preliminary pencil sketch similar to the final image. The second board, which is affixed to the first with masking tape on the edge, features supporting characters depicted in the lower half of the ad. These include Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops, Gambit, Electro, Mysterio, and Dr. Octopus, among others, drawn in ink and blue pencil. A production stamp reading "Please return this mechanical to Marvel Comics" along with the company's address is stamped over the Spider-Man pencil sketch and on the blank page. Both pieces remain in excellent condition with very little handling wear.Auction Info
