Charles Vess Sandman #75 Story Page 1 Original Art (DC/Vertigo, 1996). The final issue of Sandman opens with William Shakespeare writing The Tempest for Dream (Morpheus), per an agreement The Bard made with The Sandman. The beloved series written by Neil Gaiman reaches its end with the special, oversized issue featuring this page created in watercolor and ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10.25" x 15.75", matted and glass-front framed to 18" x 23.75". Printed text on acetate overlay and the ink panels are original art paste-ups. Personalized to Gaiman by Vess in the bottom margin. In Excellent condition.
Accompanied by a hand-signed COA. From the Personal Collection of Neil Gaiman.
