Peanuts It's Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown Charlie Brown Production Cel Signed by Brad Kesten (Bill Melendez, 1977). At long last, Charlie Brown has his first kiss with the Little Red-Haired Girl, Heather. The heartwarming 12 field production cel of Charlie Brown in this lot shows his reaction to the kiss at about 21:15 in the Phil Roman-directed special It's Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown. The special was released on 10/24/1977 and took place during the school's annual Homecoming football game and dance. Charlie Brown, Lucy, Peppermint Patty, and the gang are all on the football team but lose the game by one point. Despite the disappointment and his nerves, our brave Charlie Brown escorts Heather, the Prom Queen, and gives her a kiss on the cheek before dancing with her and the other girls in the homecoming court. Measuring about 4.5'' x 2.5'' in this quiet moment of triumph, Charlie Brown is displayed on a print background for presentation purposes and has been signed by one of his voice actors, Brad Kesten. Kesten voiced Charlie Brown in several of the specials (It's Flashbeagle, What Have We Learned, and Is This Goodbye) as well as 13 episodes of the series The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show. The cel is nicely centered in a 12'' x 9.5'' mat window and is displayed in a 20'' x 18'' Plexiglas-fronted frame. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition.
