Description

Sesame Street Groucho, Chico, and Harpo Marx Original Production Cel (Children's Television Workshop, 1977). In a spoof of the Marx Bros. 1937 film A Day at the Races, here's a rare production cel from an animated sequence of Sesame Street. From a sequence titled, "Frootsie" where Grover is hawking "tootsie-frootsie ice cream" on the street we offer this fantastic four-cel setup. Hand-painted on 12 field acetate with Chico and Groucho measuring about 6". Harpo measures about 2.5". The cels are presented over a print of the background layout. The cel is in the bottom right corner by director Arnie Levin, who is also known for his New Yorker cartoons. Matted to 18" x 14" with an aperture of 11.5" x 7.5". Cels are in Very Good condition.
