Description

Atlantis, The Lost Empire Milo Thatch Deleted Scene Animation Drawings Signed by John Pomeroy Sequence of 4 (Walt Disney, 2001). Milo continues to speak to his mock audience in preparation for requesting personnel and equipment for an expedition to find Atlantis, in this rare deleted sequence of four original animation drawings on 5-peghole paper measuring 17" x 12.5". This would have been at the beginning of the film, when we first meet cartographer and linguist Milo James Thatch, in the boiler room he uses as a makeshift office. These drawings would have continued the scene of Milo explaining that he had proof Atlantis sunk off the coast of Iceland, "proof" his bosses at the Smithsonian Museum scoff at. The drawings are numbered 3, 17, 25, and 53, with an average image area of 7" x 9.5"; each one has been hand-signed by supervising animator John Pomeroy. A Howard Lowery Certificate of Authenticity and a photocopy of a studio exposure sheet are included. Art condition is Very Good to Fine with light handling.
