Description

The Country Cousin Abner Countrymouse Animation Drawing Sequence of 11 (Walt Disney, 1936). Young inexperienced country mouse Abner gets tipsy on champagne and puts on a bashful performance with his umbrella in this amazing sequence of eleven original 12 field animation drawings. This was an Academy Award winning Silly Symphony short directed by Wilfred Jackson and released to theaters on 10/31/1936. Abner twirls, kicks, and tosses his umbrella in these graphite with color pencil highlights images, noted in the lower right corners as 56 marked with an X (approximate image size 3.5" x 4.25"), 59 (4" x 5.5" with notations), 75 (4.5" x 4.25"), 76 (4.5" x 4.25"), 77 (4" x 4.5"), 78, marked with X (5" x 4.5"), 88C (3.5" x 4.75"), 88D ( 4" x 4.5"), 88E (4" x 4.5"), 94E (2.75" x 4.5"), and 94G (2.75" x 4.5"). Wow! The drawings range from Good/Very Good with some handling, edge wear, and age-related paper toning to Very Good with minor handling wear.
