Description
Charlotte's Web Wilbur Production/Model Cel (Hanna-Barbera, 1973). This is some pig, Wilbur, the likeable piglet star of this animated version of the children's classic by E. B. White, looks splendid in this original hand-painted 12 field production/model cel. This popular musical film featured songs by the famous Sherman Brothers (Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book) and starred Henry Gibson as Wilbur, the little pig saved by the spider Charlotte, who spun her web over Wilbur's pen. It's a lovely film with legions of fans. Three great images of Wilbur, one is hand-painted, the other two are just the lines. In visual arts, a model sheet (or cel), is a document used to help standardize the appearance, poses, and gestures of a character. Model sheets are used when multiple artists are involved in the production, to help maintain continuity in characters from scene to scene. The cel is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
