Description

Peter Pan Mr. Smee Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1953). "Now, why don't we put to sea, see? Leave Neverland. Forget Peter Pan." The captain is in need of a shave and his loyal first mate Mr. Smee is happy to help, especially if he can convince Hook to take what's left of their crew and say goodbye to his rivalry with Peter Pan. Smee was voiced by Bill Thompson, who also voiced the White Rabbit, Dodo, Jock, and several other Disney characters, and his animation was supervised by Ollie Johnston. He appears as jovial as ever in this hand-inked and hand-painted production cel dressed in his classic striped shirt, shorts, and sandals. If you're looking through the film, you can find him at about 25:43 as he shaves the posterior of the seagull that's nested on Hook's towel, clueless that anything is amiss while he tries to convince the Captain to leave Neverland behind. He is beautifully detailed at about 5.5'' x 4.75'' and is displayed in a 20'' x 16'' mat. Very Good condition with only faint edge and handling wear and tape at the edges of the mat.
From the Disney Legend Inductee Andreas Deja Collection.
