Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Doc and Dopey Layout Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). "We dig up diamonds by the score, a thousand rubies, somtimes more! Though we don't know what we dig 'em for, we dig, dig, dig-a-dig, dig!" Dopey looks on as Doc examines an emerald in this marvelous and rare original layout drawing created for Walt Disney's seminal animated feature masterpiece Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Depicting the moments seen at the 22:21 mark of the film, this expressive drawing is rendered in graphite and color pencil on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper, and it has a large hand-drawn image area of 9" x 6.5". The piece is numbered Sc. 11 and 4A in the lower right corner, and it shows handling and edge wear with some tearing on the bottom and right edges. The paper shows some toning from age with some rust marks from paper clips at the top edge. A great image of Dopey and Doc! The paper is delicate and brittle with age, and the condition overall is Good.Auction Info
