Description

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Bashful Character Study by Bill Tytla (Walt Disney, 1937). "Oh, gosh!" We have in this lot a whimsical character study drawing of the timid dwarf, Bashful, from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, created by the outstanding animator Bill Tytla (1904 - 1968). Even without knowledge of the movie, it's easy to understand the personality of the character, thanks to Tytla's great talent for creating expressive images. The position of the feet, the overall posture, the eyes, and the hands all work together to offer us a clear picture of Bashful's iconic personality. This 12-field 5-peghole animation sheet presents four images of the dwarf, created in graphite with orange color pencil, occupying an overall image area of 8.25" x 7.5". In Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear from production and very light age-related toning.
From the Famed Disney Animator Bill Tytla Archive.
