Description
Astro Boy: Tome of the Blue Knight Astro Boy and the Blue Knight Production Cel Setup and Animation Drawing Group of 4 (Tezuka Productions, 1999). Astro Boy and the Blue Knight prepare to endure an onslaught of missile fire in this marvelous original production cel setup from the animated short film Astro Boy: Tome of the Blue Knight. This film appeared exclusively in the first year of the opening of Tezuka Osamu World, where Osamu Tezuka films were frequently screened. Seen at the 4:35 mark of the rare film, this incredible setup has a large hand-painted image area of 13.5" x 7.5" on the 14.25" x 9" cels. The piece is accompanied by its three matching original animation drawings rendered in graphite and color pencil on 13.5" x 9" sheets of animation paper. The cels and drawings are numbered E2, B3, and D7, and the setup is displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes. Minor handling and edge wear with light paint debris on the drawings, and the condition is Very Good.Auction Info
