Description
Mickey's Christmas Carol Scrooge McDuck as Ebenezer Scrooge Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1983). "I'll tell you what Christmas is - it's just another workday!" says Ebenezer Scrooge to his overworked employee Bob Cratchit in this Disney adaptation of the Charles Dickens holiday classic. Here's Uncle Scrooge McDuck as Ebenezer (who better than him to play this role?) in an original 16 field hand-painted production cel. You can find it in the scene with Mickey Mouse as Cratchit (who dared ask Scrooge for Christmas day off) and Donald Duck as Scrooge's nephew Fred. This image occurs at about the 4:19 timestamp. Scrooge's approximate image size is 5" x 5.75". The cel includes a small silver Walt Disney Company seal in the lower left corner and is noted as 79 in the lower right. The cel was neatly laminated at the studio, and unlike many laminated cels we've seen from this period (they were done in the mid-1990s), this one was well-preserved and is halo-free, with no visible separations. The cel is taped to a 20" x 16.5" foamcore backing board with a Disney Certificate of Authenticity on back and is in Very Good condition with minor handling wear.More information about Walt Disney Studios - Other Artist.
