Takahiro Yoshimatsu - Slayers Lina Inverse and Naga the Serpent Signed Shikishi Original Art (2023). Thoroughly unnerved by that very laugh, Lina Inverse appears alongside Naga the Serpent in this comical original signed skikishi board illustration by Slayers films' character designer and animation director Takahiro Yoshimatsu. Following the adventures of teenage sorceress Lina Inverse, Slayers first debuted as a series of light novels published in Dragon Magazine beginning in 1989 with its most recent full volume published on October 19, 2019. Their success led to a media franchise including adaptations in the form of fully illustrated manga, multi-season anime series, films, radio dramas, and multiple games. Yoshimatsu contributed significantly to the first three films of the franchise as well as the 3-episode OVA Slayers: The Book of Spells, and is also known for his prolific animation career including work on Vampire Hunter D (1985), Trigun (1998), Hunter x Hunter (2011) and Overlord (2015). This fantastic illustration of the brazen Naga and flustered Lina has been rendered in ink and artists markers with whiteout art corrections on 9.5" x 10.75" shikishi board, signed by Yoshimatsu and dated 2023-3-5 (March 5) in the top left. With minimal handling and edge wear including some faint smudging, overall this humorous original shikishi illustration is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
