Description
Battle Angel Alita "Tears Sign" Gally Production Cel and Animation Drawing (Madhouse, 1993). Presented in this lot is an incredible hand-painted production cel from the cult-classic anime Battle Angel Alita, featuring a striking image of our daring protagonist, Gally. This prominent two-episode OVA, known originally as Gunnm, is based on the manga by Yukito Kishiro, directed by Hiroshi Kutuomi and featuring character design by the great Nobuteru Yuuki, known for his work on The Vision of Escaflowne and X: The Movie, among many others. This incredibly dynamic image of Gally showcases her mechanical arms, with the android preparing to rush, featuring a terrific figure size of 10" x 8.5", seen at the 24:45 mark of "Tears Sign." The matching animation drawing is included with the lot, created in graphite and colored pencils. Mild handling and edge wear can be seen overall. The animation drawing is stuck to the back of the cel. In Very Good condition.Auction Info
