Description
Charlotte's Web Wilbur and Templeton Production Cels Group of 2 (Hanna-Barbera, 1973). Here's a wonderful pair of production cels from the 1973 animated musical Charlotte's Web. It's the story of a livestock pig named Wilbur and his friendship with a barn spider named Charlotte. When Wilbur is in danger of being slaughtered by the farmer, Charlotte writes messages praising Wilbur (such as "Some Pig") in her web in order to persuade the farmer to let him live. The cels feature Wilbur in one cel taking some medicine and Templeton in the other cel. Templeton is the gluttonous rat and overall anti-hero who only helps when offered food. He is always trying to get Wilbur into trouble, while Charlotte is trying to keep the pig from becoming bacon. The images were hand-painted on 12 field acetate. The cels are noted as T24 and H29 in the lower right. Condition is Very Good with light handling and tape in the top margin of T24.Auction Info
