Description

Patrick Block - "Uncle Scrooge The Seven Cities of Cibola" Splash Panel Recreation Original Art (Walt Disney, c. 1990s). Scrooge McDuck, the richest duck in the world, enjoys a "coin shower" in his fabulous money vault, in this terrific recreation of a Carl Barks comic book opening panel from Uncle Scrooge #7 (1954). The art is by Patrick Block, one of a handful of artists who have adapted the Barks Style to perfection; he worked closely with Carl Barks on one of the Duck Man's final stories, "Somewhere in Nowhere." Mr. Block and his wife Shelly have written more than 90 stories featuring the Disney Ducks, as well as providing art for many stories and covers. The signed art is in ink and watercolor or color markers on board; it's matted with an opening of 15.75" x 11.75" and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 23.5" x 19.5". The frame is sold as-is. Condition is Very Good to Fine, with light handling.
