Description
Beauty and the Beast Belle and Other Characters Storybook Illustrations Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1991). A lovely image of Belle, the book-loving young lady who eventually "tames" the Beast is seen in a perfect storybook portrait illustration. The ink and gouache/watercolor art is hand-painted with airbrushed highlights; she has an overall image size of approximately 3.5" x 6.5" on illustration board measuring 8" x 10". The artboard includes a protective acetate overlay and black paper cover. Belle's new friends in the castle are featured on the second illustration; they include Lumière, the maître d turned candelabra; Cogsworth, the head butler turned pendulum clock; Mrs. Potts, the cook turned teapot, and her son Chip, who is now a chipped teacup. Lumière and Cogsworth have a combined image size of 6" x 6", while Mrs. Potts and Chip measure 4.75" x 5". The gouache/watercolor airbrushed art is on illustration board measuring 13.5" x 9", and also includes an acetate overlay and black paper cover. Artboards have tape and minor handling wear that doesn't affect the images. Very Good condition.Auction Info
