Berserk "Black Swordsman" Hand-Painted 21'' Production Background (OLM, 1997). Guts spends a night in the forest, but it's not a restful one. The forest is looming and dark, and he's not as alone as he might think. This gorgeous hand-painted gouache production background features part of that forest as it appears at roughly 10:31 in the first episode of the legendary anime Beserk. The series has long been one of the best-selling and highly rated anime and manga and is known for its dark themes, detailed artwork, and masterful storytelling. This episode originally aired on 10/7/1997 and introduced the series vengeful protagonist. This pan-sized background fits the tone of the show perfectly and measures approximately 21'' x 8.5'' with 'Beserk' written in Japanese in the lower right. This incredible piece of the first episode is in Good to Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear, faint superficial wrinkling/creasing, and minor paint debris.Auction Info
