The Art of Hercules: The Chaos of Creation Signed Limited Edition Book with Slipcase #327/1000 (Walt Disney/Hyperion, 1997). Presented in an opulent clothbound slipcover is this sold-out limited edition art book featuring a wealth of information from the making of Disney's 1997 animated feature, Hercules. Authored by Stephen Rebello and Jane Healey, this 192-page volume is from the signed, limited edition run and numbered 327 of only 1,000 copies. The book differs in several respects from the edition sold in bookstores. It is signed by: Peter Schneider, President of Walt Disney Feature Animation; Hercules producer Alice Dewey and directors John Musker and Ron Clements. The book itself is a 12" x 11.25" x 1.25" clothbound with a handsome cover design, has gilt-edge pages plus signature/limitation page, all housed in a matching slipcase. Included is a matted sericel of Hercules as "Hero in Training" produced exclusively for this edition of the book, along with Disney's Certificate of Authenticity. This edition was originally sold only in the Disney Stores and through the Disney Catalogue. The book is still in the publisher's original shrink-wrap with labels on the outside.
